TEXTURING


   Let's go back to the Lizard Alien project and add some textures too it. Lizard Alien 4

NOTE: Models are used in the tutorial for the purpose of teaching, these models are not allowed to be used elsewhere without consent.

   Now get all these textures:

Asphalt

Rock Wall

Green Rock Wall

Water

Now once the project is opened and you've got the textures. Add a new texture:

Call it "rockwall"

Do the same for the rest of the textures:

Now go to the "Level" object and set the following:



"UV Scale" controls the size of the texture, the smaller it is the LARGER the texture appears to be on the object.

Hit "Refresh"

It's important to note that you should hit refresh whenever you change "Box UVMap"

If it asks you:


Hit yes and then hit "Refresh" again.

Now let's edit the materials:


If there are no materials then you need to "Refresh" it again.

Material00 is the default material.

NOTE: It does not import materials' names it just counts how many materials there are. And lists them according to their number.

Looking at this we decide what textures go where:

 

For Material01and Material02 I choose Greerockwall
For Material03 I choose Asphalt
For Material04 I choose Water
For Material05 I choose Rockwall


And viola! Textured!
