CRE8OR - game maker for anim8or

THE VERY BASICS

Begin by starting up Anim8or. Starting with a new object add a cube.

Now that you got a cube go head and put it anywhere and have it any shape.

Now that we got our object it is time to make a scene with these boxes. Go to "Mode" -> "Scene" and add these objects to the scene by going to "Build" -> "Add Object..."

As you can see I randomly put objects here and there with various orientations.
Save the anim8or file to a place that you'll remember.
Now start up Cre8or. Go to "My An8 File" -> "Assign Anim8or File" as shown

Select your anim8or file. And it should try to do something.

Now Browse for the object / entity:

Double click it. Once the window pops up go to "Edit Physical"

Now make sure you select "Cube" (which can also be a rectanglish) Notice that it automatically found the dimmesions for you. Below the "Offset" is the distance away from the origin. It should have for the offsets too. The blue circles are for you to notice NOT TO CHANGE TO.

Now click the Play button and watch the objects fall down and bump into each other. It's cool but it's not a game.

Playing it should look like this:

Now that this tutorial is over try a few things out on you're own, LIKE, building a wall of this blocks and having a block really high up fall down into the center and scatter all the blocks around.

As a design note: I purposely put the objects OFF Center, in the object mode. There are some flaws to this so for the most part try not to put you objects off center, or at least the dynamic objects.

Now that you're done experimenting you can go to the next tutorial and experiement more?
